Writers write . . . but is there a true community for the newbie?

Since the beginning of publication writers have belonged to a sacred community. As the ones charged with the duty of delivering tools from the heavens to society, the job had a distinct feel of elitism to it. Kings and Queens, nobles, peasants and religious leaders treated storytellers with respect!

Has this been forgotten today?

Maybe with all the voices that are swimming out there the responsibility that comes with the privilege has been lost on writers. As one who is fairly new to the whole process of searching the net for information as opposed to the library I find the sea of awareness larger than my mind can wrap itself around. As a new professional writer I find the behind the scenes look at the publishing industry amazing . . . and not in the more flattering way.
So what is a newbie to do? Stand strong? Hide in the sand? I find at this point of my career that a mixture of both is best. Many in the communities of writers are so focused on getting their opinion vauled that they have forgotten that neither one of us have all the pieces to the puzzle. Let’s not even get on the fact that its sink or swim . . . I know that this is the case with all competitive industries but we’re talking about writers. Writers!

Sadly, knowledge is shared but not without the expectation of receiving praise from their collegium or more important a sense of idolatry from the newbies. Maybe its been forgotten that our energy goes everywhere even on the written page and to one who is learning the overwhelming process of publication having to fit in came make things worst.
Could this be part of the reason that even with the portal that has burst wide open, there seem to be so much competetion for readers? What happen to the pure reason of writing to release an inner burning knowledge? When was it forgotten that those who need to hear your words will be drawn to them? Is it reasonable to say that maybe this is the reason that so many writers spend time writing on how to write?

Storytelling is my strength . . . where are they- the true stroytellers- and why havn’t they stepped up in the fierce online marketing community? If they’re already there why aren’t they fighting to make writers remember that staying true to telling a tale is most important?

The public complains that there’s no original entertainment nowadays . . . well I tell you in the professional writing community- where marketing and publicity knowledge and experience lay- its hard for pure creativity to keep its head above water. There has to be an online community of storytellers out there and hopefully, one day, those who are wise in the way of selling books will join forces with them.

That will be the day.

Journey of Christianty for the past 2000 years

It has been 2000 years since Jesus the Christ returned home to the Heavens and what a journey the Christian family has traveled.

Today, many Christian soldiers in the war to bring Heaven to Earth understand that evangelicalism is not the most effective use of our resources. A shift has been made and we recognize that the vital blow to Lucifer’s dream of having Man fall from divine grace comes from our strength in numbers and the use of the many forms of communication available in today’s technological world.

No longer are we required to give our physical life to spread the message which is God, instead, we demonstrate His Word by giving unconditional love. Better understandings of the spiritual laws allow us to adjust our ways of thinking and respond to life accordingly. Established services and programs give tools to those of us who are standing in our divine power. We are walking this walk and talking this talk!

With that said I must address the fact that there’s still much more that must be done . . . more road to travel.

Some of us are not fully living up to our divine being, spiritually paralyzed by fear. Armed with book knowledge and lack of wisdom, we stand in front of lost and hurt souls looking for earthly comfort from people who are experienced and learned in God’s way. Notwithstanding, none of us know the details of God’s providence; but half healed healers can bring more harm than good to the battles- and these are the ones who boldly make their way to the front of the class knocking over the wise and strong.

Now with 2012 right on our heels the time has come for those who ‘can’ to stand. It’s time for wisdom to step up and show her beauty and gentle grace.

The end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th is well on its way, if ever there was a moment for leaders to lead it is now. As a race we can not expect mankind to turn away from the only help that is given to them . . . they’re hungry for love and will take anything that is offered to them. Doubt this? Look at the divorce rate.

Like many who are members of various online communities, I have blogs set up on different online forums.  This was fine for me intially but the more I dug into these discussions the more I began to feel that I needed my own blogsite in order to cover all the many subjects that intrigue me.

As a writer, I desire nothing more than to share my voice/awareness.  As a reader, I desire nothing more than to absorb the voice/awareness of others.

My weblog is not meant to generate readers for my Christian Fantasy Series (although that wouldn’t be bad either) but my platform to exchange wisdom.
